Take note that you have given strong points as your input to the meeting and that company has taken high value reminder from you. However, this is not the end of it. Your boss may agree to increase your wage immediately. If this does not happen as planned, then perhaps you should do more to convince your boss of the salary raise you deserve.
How could you not if you have shown how much you have contributed significantly to the success of your boss and help increase your department bottom-line? In knowing that you have earned it, there is nothing to be fear!
You can not discount the fact, however, that you could get in a bad position in the discussion. To regain strength in your side, then here some points that you should do:
1). Never give up. The first rule up is not to quit. Negotiations on a wage increase is not for the faint-hearted, and you should find it in you to be brave and confident. Remember, you are your best arbiter!
2). Find out what you should do. If you are told that your request can not be granted, and you will not get a raise, ask what you need to do to get it. This will show them how tough and determined you are.
3). Negotiations! Do not accept something at a moment’s notice. Weigh matters carefully before you agree or disagree. When you are ready to settle quickly and for so much less, then you lose your bargaining power.
4). Consider your other offers. During negotiating for a salary raise, expect that your boss will give you another offer than what you originally demand. Usually, it is lower in price. Once you have considered the offer and it does not sit well with you, then be calm and explain why.
5). Ask for another benefit. Here, you should be well informed about the company policies and employee benefits.
Your store front is the best advertising space that you can get. A billboard can put you in the people’s minds, but they could easily forget or never get round to visit about your business if they do not know where it is. Your shop front if it catches the people’s attention can get them into your shop straight away or ensure that they know where to find you.
