Many people think about business travel in a very abstract way. If someone hrears the word “business travel” they usually think of nothing but fat executives going to some desolate places to do business in a state of misery and utter boredom. However, there are legitimate and indispensable reasons for business travel.
A meeting, conference or convention is a common reasons for enganging in business travel. Although teleconferencing technology is now well developed, thanks to broadband internet, the study shows that there is still a special touch with face to face business meetings offer. Teleconferencing is found to be quite impersonal and often used only in the company ranks. But for more conservative culture, there is no other choice than to fly.
An exhibition or trade fair is another popular destination. This means clumping a group of business in a single place and making them show off what product or service they have to offer, so that the market can be more familiar acquainted with them. It is very important for start-up companies to improve their business network, or for companies that provide competitive products so that consumers can easily make value judgments, because they can easily compare one product to another.
Training program is the third in the list. This means staging a special seminar to educate the public, or perhaps the local distributors and sales representatives, about the mechanisms of a particular business process or the nuances of a particular product. Although the video-training modules are often used by many businesses, these modules do not allow a “question and answer” portion at the end of the presentation. Most of the time, the information gained by the seminar participants through the process, can spell the success of a company or its doom.
