Motivation

For staff to perform at their best level they must be feel inspired and have to drive to want to work. They should can come to work and enjoy what they do and feel passionate about theirĀ  work. If their work becomes a chore then their performance may suffer. As a manager it is important to know what will give your employee the determination to improve on their jobs and work together as a team. Motivate your employees by recognizing good performance and encourages them to develop their skills. Offer them the goals to work towards and reward their success.

Appreciation

This may seem like a small thing, but being praised for a job well done can mean the difference between being a productive employee and one who does the bare minimum. Everyone needs to feel be appreciated, even if only a verbal recognition.

Working environment

Providing a good working atmosphere and you will see a definite improvement in productivity. Employees need to feel that they can communicate openly with each other and management, especially when problems arise, and they also need to be clear that all employees must be treated with respect. Generally office politics tend to involve the same person or group of people, so the employee are the best addressed as quickly as possible and make clear about how their negative negative behaviors can affect everyone.

Communication

Employees need to feel they are free to approach the management at any time and any problems that may arise. With an open door policy, employees feel be appreciated and if you take action quickly regarding the problems or concerns, they would feel happier at work and their performance will reflect this.

Training

When employees are kept up to date with industry changes and are given access to train not only their new skills be of benefit to the company, but they will feel that their own personal development is appreciated. With receiving a proper training, the team will move forward as a whole group. If it is clear that the management wants them to succeed personally this will have a positive effect on team performance.

Encouragement

The employees should be encouraged to share their ideas. Meetings should not just for the executives. Include all staff in meetings and listen to their ideas about how they feel things can be improved. If you have employees who are experts in their field then it will pay to listen what they must say. Your team will be more involved if they are encouraged to think about how companies can work more efficiently and more profitable. You need also to recognize employees for their ideas, preferably in meetings and ensure that they receive the credit.
